Origins of Neopop Festival 2022
In 2006, when Neopop was created under the term Anti-pop, there were very few electronic music events in Portugal. Out of them, Boom is the only event which focused on trance. Most clubs shut down in August at the time.
So, the organizers came up with the concept of putting on a two-day event at that time, which would gather together established stars and newcomers alike.
The crew discovered the appropriate place at the foot of a fortress facing the ocean in northern Portugal, in the town of Viana do Castelo, which is approximately one hour from Porto and a few kilometres from the Spanish border.
The festival was an instant success and underwent quick expansion, transitioning to a longer format that currently spans four days, inviting an ever-expanding international audience, and featuring internationally known performers.
In addition to the festival’s avant-garde aesthetic approach and lineups of established performers which also offer room for emerging talent, Neopop is also known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere that tends to draw in festival-goers of all ages.

Neopop Festival 2022 Tickets

- Daily Tickets – These are valid for just 1 day of the festival and start at 55 Euros (10th August), 66 Euros (11th, 12th& 13th August)
- Full Pass – The ticket is valid for the entire duration of the festival and starts at 108 Euros.
- Pass Plus – It offers all the facilities included in the Full pass with the added benefits of access to the plus area, 10 drinks, private WCs and some goodies.

Guests can choose from a range of glamping accommodations at Sleep’em All, including tipis, QB huts, and erected tents.
You’ll find a 24-hour receptionist at the camp’s entryway where a member of the Sleep’em’All staff is on hand to assist you at all times. Showers are located in the Sports Centre close to the Sleep’em’All camp and are shared with the regular camp, with availability dependent on the schedule of the Club of Rowing.
A tent with outlets is also available. Sleep’em’ All campers have exclusive access to the camp’s chemical toilets, which are cleaned daily and disinfected.
